“We must go deeply back inside ourselves and search for what was lost...We are searching for the buried moon, for the lost voices of the wells.”

Art Therapist

In 2021, I opened The Artful Well, an art therapy practice in Durham NH, where I guide expression through creative arts as a medium for nurturing the soul, healing the inner self, and for deep self-care.

Fundamental to my work is creating a safe space for clients to engage in authentic self-expression, opening a path towards self-efficacy, empowerment, and healing.

I view my role as an art therapist as both witness and ally, accompanying clients as they navigate difficult life experiences and personal struggles.

I am an artist, feminist, and ally to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and disability communities and dedicated to equity and social justice personally and professionally.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Arizona State University and completed the Master of Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling program at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.

About Art Therapy

Art therapy is an integrative mental health approach based on the belief that engaging in an arts-based creative process helps people to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, relieve physical and mental distress, foster self-awareness, increase self-esteem and achieve personal insight.

Art therapy is facilitated by professional art therapists who are master-level clinicians.  We work with a diverse population and are guided by ethical standards and scope of practice, by our governing board, the American Art Therapy Association. Professional art therapists are dedicated to honoring the culture, diversity, values and beliefs of those we work with. Art therapists work with people who may be challenged with medical and mental health concerns, as well as those seeking emotional, creative, and spiritual growth.
